1、操作條件通常情況下、低溫操作有利于物理吸附,適當升高溫度有利于化學吸附。但采取升溫還是降溫,必須以吸附過程中吸附烙變為依據。若烙變為正值,則溫度升高對吸附操作有利;相反則降低溫度對吸附過程有利。溫度對氣相吸附的影響比對液相吸附的影響大。對于氣體吸附,壓力增加有利于吸附,壓力降低有利于解吸。

2、吸附劑的性質,吸附劑的性質如孔隙率、孔徑、粒度等,影響比表面積,從而影響吸附效果。一般說來,吸附劑粒徑越小或微孔越發達,其比表面積越大,吸附容量也越大。但在液相吸附過程中,對相對分子質量大的吸附質,微孔提供的表面積不起很大作用。

3、吸附質的性質與濃度對于氣相吸附,吸附質的當量直徑、相對分子質量、沸點、飽和性等影響吸附量。若用同種活性炭作吸附劑,對于結構相似的有機物,相對分子質量和不飽和性越大,沸點越高,越易被吸附。對于液相吸附,吸附質的分子極性、相對分子質量、在溶劑中的溶解度等影響吸附量。相對分子質量越大,分子極性越強,溶解度越小,越易被吸附。吸附質濃度越高,吸附量越少。

4、吸附劑的活性吸附劑的活性是吸附劑吸附能力的標志,常以吸附劑上所吸附的吸附質量與所有吸附劑量之比的百分數來表示。其物理意義是單位吸附劑所能吸附的吸附質量。
