Positive pressure pneumatic conveying adopts positive pressure air source to blow in the pipeline at high speed. Generally, the air sources used include centrifugal fan, Roots fan, air compressor, etc. Positive pressure pneumatic conveying is a dynamic pressure conveying mode, which is divided into positive pressure dilute phase conveying and positive pressure dense phase conveying. Positive pressure dilute phase conveying system is usually used to transport bulk materials from one place to one or more destinations. It has longer distance and larger capacity than negative pressure system. The positive pressure pneumatic conveying system uses a blower to connect with one or more downstream material inlet points. Each product enters the conveying line through a rotary air lock valve to maintain the pressure difference between the ambient atmosphere and the conveying line. The material is directly discharged into the container through the cyclone or the cyclone outlet, or the air is directly discharged from the downstream of the process separator through the cyclone outlet. The positive pressure pneumatic conveying system provides higher efficiency than the negative pressure system, can be transmitted over a longer distance, and can be directly blown into the process and storage container without using the rotary air lock valve.
In order to simply transfer products from point a to point B, positive pressure pneumatic conveying is usually required. The equipment generally uses blower, rotary air lock, cyclone receiver (sometimes air lock valve) and pipeline system with elbow and coupling. Usually, the air discharged from the cyclone collector needs to be discharged into a secondary filter, scrubber or simple atmosphere. One feature of the positive pressure pneumatic conveying system is that it can increase the unloading point. Just add a diverter valve on the conveying pipeline after determining the destination and unload to the designated destination. Another feature of positive pressure pneumatic conveying is that through planning, it can be designed into a circulating system to reuse air and connect materials in series to another destination, which requires special design. Although it is common for positive pressure pneumatic conveying systems to convey materials to the receiving point under atmospheric pressure, there will be some problems when conveying materials to pipes with air under high pressure. There are many kinds of feeding devices available. Due to adverse pressure gradient, each type of feeder may leak air from the positive pressure pneumatic conveying system and carry dust.
Using the diverter valve, the positive pressure system can easily transport multiple materials to multiple receiving points. Although it can also be arranged to transport materials to an ordinary pipeline at multiple points, when not in use, due to the high-pressure air in the pipeline, attention should be paid to the possibility of air leakage.
