在氣力輸送過程中,物料在輸料管的粘附與物料特性、氣流速度及壁面光滑情況有關,由于物料對管道內壁起粘附作用,時間長了便會逐漸積累,使管道流通面積變小,嚴重的還會造成輸料管堵塞。物料在管內產生粘附的原因各不相同,大致可分成以下六類:

1、熔點低或軟化點低的物料

這些物料在輸送過程中,由于摩擦、碰撞等會產生少量熱能,使得物料表面產生熔融、軟化而粘結。由于在壓力下輸送,時間長了管道的粘附層更加穩定,例如石蠟、熱可塑性樹脂、硫磺等。

2、含油分的植物種子或其他含油物料,在輸送過程中,受熱、受壓后分泌物對管道產生粘結。

5、帶電性物料粘壁。物料粘壁附著力的大小,與顆粒帶電量及顆粒、壁面、輸送空氣的導電率有關。如顆粒與管壁一方為導體,另一方為絕緣體時,附著力非常大,不易清除。如合成樹脂粉末、谷粉等。
